Foot Augmentation

Cosmetic foot surgery is a new concept and employs the same surgical processes performed by podiatrists (foot doctors) on a regular basis. Podiatrists have performed cosmetic foot surgery on patients due to problems with the feet. In recent years people not having yet had the experience of foot pain or complications because of problems such as bunions, painful misalignments with toes and other problems of that nature are requesting cosmetic foot surgery.

Common problems that are remedied with cosmetic foot surgery are bunions, toes longer than the big toe, hammertoe and other problems associated with the toes. Corrective surgery for problems such as Hammertoe, cosmetic foot surgery involves loosening the tendons and realigning the bone structure of the toe.

Bunions corrected by cosmetic foot surgery require being cut out with the toe repositioned.

Toes that are seen as too long involve removing a portion of the bone from the joints (usually the 2nd and 3rd) of the second toe.
