Frequently Asked Questions

What is cosmetic laser surgery?

Cosmetic laser surgery involves employing a beam of light as opposed to a scalpel, which results in less invasive surgery and less recovery time needed from procedures such as removal of port wine stains, warts, tattoos, and spider veins to name a few.

Are there limitations to where on a body a liposuction procedure can be done?

No, there are seemingly no limitations to having fatty material removed from the body. The means by which the removal takes place may differ, but by using a liposuction technique, excess fat can be removed from anywhere on the body by making a small incision and employing a suction tube called a cannula.

Are penile enlargements safe and are they endorsed by the FDA?

No and No. Penis enlargements have been frowned upon by all plastic surgery associations, the FDA and the Urological Association. They are deemed unsafe, and the consequences of getting one are not worth the large amount of money and suffering a man will likely go through after receiving one. Possible effects of such enhancements are pain, clotting of fat on the penis shaft, loss of sensation, smaller penis size, and impotence just to name a few.

What is neck liposuction?

Liposuction of the neck is when fatty material is removed from the neck by use of a suction tube and small incisions made behind the ears. The fat is suctioned out and the excess skin removed, with the remaining skin pulled back to give the patient a thinner and aesthetically pleasing look with very little side effects or complications resulting.

How much does a plastic surgery procedure cost?

Plastic surgery procedures happen for different reasons, from reconstruction due to injury or from birth defects. These surgeries are usually covered by medical insurance for at least some of the cost. These procedures should not be confused with cosmetic surgery procedures, which are not covered by insurance due to the lack of necessity for them.
